COMMON ROADSIDE HELP QUESTIONS FROM KANSAS CITY DRIVERS
  • What services does Rolling Roadside Solutions offer to drivers in the Kansas City area?

We offer four core roadside services: vehicle lockout assistance, emergency jump starts, fuel delivery, and tire changes. Lockout service is our top specialty, and we handle everything from small passenger cars all the way up to semi-trucks using airbags and a lasso tool, never wedges, to protect your vehicle. Jump starts use a professional jump box to get you moving again. Fuel delivery brings up to 3 gallons of gas directly to you, and the fuel cost is included in our flat rate. Tire changes are available for most vehicles, including RVs and box trucks, as long as you have a spare on hand.
  • How much does roadside assistance cost, and are there any hidden fees I should know about?

Our pricing is straightforward: a flat $50 rate covers all standard services within the Kansas City Metro area. That fee includes mileage, the service itself, and, for fuel delivery, the cost of the fuel up to the 3-gallon limit. There are no extra add-ons and no surprise charges. We built our pricing this way because being stranded is already stressful enough without worrying about what the final bill will look like. We want every customer, especially families and everyday commuters, to feel confident calling us without fear of being overcharged.
  • How long will it take for someone to arrive after I call for help?

Our goal is to be on-site within 45 minutes of your call. We maintain a team of three drivers so we are not relying on a single person to cover the entire service area. That team structure is a big part of how we keep response times consistent across Kansas City, MO, Olathe, KS, Leavenworth, KS, Lee's Summit, MO, and Buckner, MO. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so whether you are stranded at noon or 2 in the morning, you can reach us and expect a prompt, professional response.
  • Why does your lockout service use airbags instead of wedges, and does it matter for my car?

It matters a great deal. Traditional wedge tools are forced between the door frame and the car body to create a gap, and that process can bend the door frame, damage weather seals, and cause cosmetic harm that is expensive to repair. We use inflatable airbags to gently create space and a lasso tool to manipulate the lock mechanism from inside the vehicle. This approach protects your door, your seals, and your finish. It is a more careful method, and it is one of the main reasons customers in the Kansas City area trust us for lockout calls on everything from everyday sedans to large commercial vehicles.
  • Can Rolling Roadside Solutions help with commercial vehicles and fleet accounts?

Yes. Our lockout service covers vehicles up to and including semi-trucks. Tire changes are available for box trucks and RVs with a spare on hand, though we do not change semi tires. For business owners and fleet managers, we are also developing a yearly subscription model designed to give commercial clients guaranteed availability and priority service. This is ideal for companies that need to keep their work vehicles moving without the risk of unexpected downtime. If you manage a fleet in the Kansas City metro and want to learn more about commercial roadside options, reach out directly to discuss what we can put together for your operation.
  • Is Rolling Roadside Solutions a local company, and who actually shows up to help me?

We are a locally owned, family-run business based in the Kansas City area, operated by Joseph and Maegan Stevenson. Joseph brings 11 to 12 years of hands-on industry experience to every call, and he built this business after years of working in the field for others. When you call us, you are not reaching a national dispatch center. You are calling a real local team that knows the roads, cares about the community, and treats every customer the way a neighbor should be treated. We also offer service in both English and Spanish to make sure every driver in our area can communicate clearly during a stressful situation.
  • What happens if I run out of gas, and does fuel delivery cover all vehicle types?

If you run out of fuel, we will come to you and deliver up to 3 gallons to get you back on the road. The cost of the fuel is included in our standard $50 flat-rate fee, so you are not paying separately for the gas itself. We serve all standard vehicle types within our service area. If you have questions about whether your specific vehicle or fuel type is covered, give us a call so we can confirm before dispatching. Our goal is always to get you moving again as quickly and affordably as possible, with no confusion about what you will owe when we arrive.
  • Do you offer towing services, and what should I know if I need a tow in the Kansas City area?

Full towing service is currently in development. We are in the process of acquiring a flatbed and a wrecker to handle a wide range of vehicle types. Once that equipment is active, towing will be priced at a $75 hook fee plus $2.50 per mile. We wanted to be upfront about this so customers are not caught off guard. In the meantime, our current services, including lockouts, jump starts, fuel delivery, and tire changes, are fully operational and available around the clock across our Kansas City metro service area. Keep an eye out for updates on when towing goes live.
